Sandhawk rocket poised on a launcher at Sandia Laboratories' Tonopah (Nevada) Test Range.  The Sandhawk is a single-stage, solid propulsion sounding rocket. It has a Thiokol TE-M-473 motor that develops 24,500 pounds of thrust. It is 13 inches in diameter, 24.1 feet long and carries a 200-pound gross payload to an altitude of 110 miles.
